Clutch 9:30 Club Washington, DC May 8, 2004 Concert shoot for BULLY Magazine. Once again, I had to track down the tour manager to verify credentials. I was bummed too because I was really looking forward to this shoot. Once everything was OK, I was given an "All Access" pass and my wait was validated. Rarely do I see a band that's so unconcerned with being the next...(insert annoying band here). Blues-based funk, rumbling bass, and enthusiastic presence. A very diverse crowd. Ages ranging from 17 to 50+. You had very casual dress on up to eye-popping next-to-nothings. One woman in particular was looking all sultry smoking her clove cigarette outside the club in a revealing outfit. She obvously was enjoying the leers she was getting from any male with a pulse. I almost walked up to her and said, "Excuse me miss. But, you're standing in puke." Click on the images below to enlarge.
